The 8 track album Rebirth Dreaming marks Kate’s first step in a new trajectory – as a solo artist, which continues to be a collaborative exploration in sound and harmony. The cover art for Rebirth Dreaming was painted by amazing local artist Jazz Watson. The theme was inspired by the concept of a tree as the central piece, with nature and people sitting around a fire. Jazz also channelled the story of my young friend Angus who inspired the albums title song through an artwork of his own by the same name. Angus was an inspiration to many and lives on always, dancing and smiling, in our hearts.

Leopold’s Treat write and play from the heart. The band has four core members, being Kate Leopold, Kieran Richardt (slide guitar, yidaki), Dave Honeyman (acoustic melodies) and Neil Macleod (flute, harmonica, bass clarinet). They describe their music as ‘experimental acoustic folk’, seeing dynamic rhythms intertwined with emotive slide guitar and bright acoustic melodies.
